The Smith Equipment and Supply Company warrants for a period of six months from the date of purchase, components manufactured by Smith Equipment and Supply Company, to be free of defects in material and workmanship as long as no alterations have been made and only original brand parts have been used. Original brand equipment parts apply to: Hydraulic components, engines, axles, brushes, tire, and wheel size structural steel components and bearings. This warranty shall become invalid if any of the original equipment parts are replaced by a generic part or machine is altered for any other use other than what it is designed for. Our obligations under this warranty are limited to making good at our facility any parts that shall be returned to us, shipping charges prepaid and add, our examination shall disclose the part to have been defective. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied and we neither assume nor authorize any person to assume for us any other liability in connection with the sale of our products.
This warranty will not apply to any products which have been repaired by anyone other than those authorized by us or which have been subjected to misuse, negligence, or accident. Components such as engines, batteries, and hydraulic components are guaranteed separately by their respective manufacturers.
The Smith Equipment and Supply Co. will not be responsible for removal and/or installation expenses of warranted components or obligated to furnish new or loaner part(s) at no charge to the customer.
The Smith Equipment and Supply Company will not be liable for travel or lost time. Nor shall the Smith Equipment and Supply Company be liable for manufacturing costs, labor, material, loss of profits, consequential damages, direct or indirect, because of defective products, whether due to rights arising under the contract of sale or independently thereof and whether or not such claim is based on contract, tort, or warranty.
Changes in Sweeper Attachment Design
It is the policy of the Smith Equipment and Supply Company to improve its products whenever it is possible and practical to do so. We reserve the right to make changes or add improvements in design or construction of any parts.
Warranty Claim Instructions
Written authorization for any warranty claim returns must first be obtained from an authorized Smith Equipment and Supply Company representative. All returns must be accompanied with a complete written explanation of claimed defects and the circumstances of operational failure on the Return Authorization form. This form must be obtained from Smith Equipment and Supply Company to expedite warranty claims. Failure to complete a return authorization form may result in non-acceptance of the warranted item.
The Smith Equipment and Supply Company will return the warranted parts at the lowest transportation charge to the customer’s location. Other shipping requests by the customer will be at their expense. Shipments of warranted parts direct from our plant will be F.O.B. point of shipment. All shipments shall be routed best way unless specific instructions are furnished by the customer. The Smith Equipment and Supply Company shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, and or delay during transportation.
All returns must have an RMA Number assigned to their case before The Smith Equipment and Supply Company will accept it. Smith Equipment will require the invoice number, part number, and date of purchase along with a brief statement of reason in order to assign the RMA number.

All returns will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
